What is Mock Trial?
Mock Trial is a competitive team event that utilizes role-playing as attorneys, witnesses, and more to build critical thinking and public speaking skills. Every member must collaborate with each other to prepare the best performance of the case.

It simulates a real-life court case, created by a legal team each year. Each teammate will be individually scored by a legal practitioner on their performance, as well as ruling over their trial.

About the Program
This program is geared towards training middle school students (grades 6-8) to compete in Mock Trial competitions and introduce them to law. Students will learn public speaking skills, foster a genuine enjoyment in law and justice, and improve their critical thinking abilities while learning about the role race plays in the legal system.
This program runs for approximately 2 months and students will have the opportunity to compete at a Mock Trial competition judged by law professionals. Instructors are from Dougherty Valley High School and are on their school's competitive Mock Trial team.
